Hello,
So I am probably going to adopt (well, paying 50 bucks for it) a chinchilla from someone who is trying to get rid of it. I just adopted a mouse and went looking for food for the both of them. Mice can eat almost anything, so I am not too worried about getting commercial mouse food for him, I will probably be feeding him lots of fresh stuff.I read that chinchillas are extremely finicky about their diets and if they are not proper and consistent in content and timing of feeding, it can cause lots of stress for the chinchilla and damage its health. They are supposed to be some of the most extreme creatures of habit. I figured this meant I should primarily feed it some mixed, prepared food rather than giving it stuff I have around the house on top of its alfalfa grass. The problem is, I cannot find vegan chinchilla food anywhere. Not online, not in the store. Nothing. It all has D3 in it. Does anyone know of a brand of chinchilla food which doesn't contain D3 or anything else?
Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

Hi there,
I am getting a chinchilla sometime in the next the year. And I was talking to some one who owns chinchillas. And they said that guinea pigs carry some disease in their dandrift or fur (they said they couldn't remember what the disease was called just that it had to do with their hair and dandrift) that is harmful to chinchillas. Is this true, do guinea pigs carry a disease of any kind that is hamrful to Chinchillas?I was just curious because personally I don't think it is true. But I am just wondering.

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
